Why use 3D? Surveying a factory or a warehouse using 3D survey is an excellent way to start the design with an accurate view instead of an old drawing that in most cases is incorrect.
Point Cloud Converter, or PCC for short, can convert a 2D point cloud into drawing lines that can be used by the NDC8 Layout Designer. The 2D point cloud is a thin slice of a complete point cloud that is surveyed using a 3D scan equipment like the NavVis VLX or M6. The PCC tool fills the gap between the surveyed point cloud and the design work in the Layout Designer.
PCC requires that you have an Application Engineer Toolkit license.
